(American Pharoah & Justify halters donated to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of the Bluegrass / Photo submitted)

Editor’s Note:

Thanks to another stroke of generosity from the Kentucky equine industry, two historic halters — one worn by Triple Crown winner American Pharoah and the other worn by Triple Crown winner Justify — will be raffled off on Wednesday, Sept. 30 to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of the Bluegrass.

For $50 each, you can purchase a ticket that will make you eligible for the drawing. And, get this, only 300 tickets will be sold and will be in the mix for each of the halters.

Both of the halters have been framed in a beautiful shadow box and are ready for mounting on any house or office wall.

What better cause to join.

What better effort to support.

Is there any?

The Kentucky Horse Industry has always stepped up to help our communities and our people. This is another example. Please join with me in working to make this the best fund raiser of the year for the Ronald McDonald House — which does so much good in helping and supporting families of children that have been stricken with unspeakable pain and suffering.

My heart breaks for these babies.

I know yours does, too.

Let’s get a leg up right now and help support this worthy cause and endeavor.

Here’s a link that you can click on and find out more about the raffle. Also, please find more information listed below.

It’s the least we can do to help the most.

WHAT A STUD!

We are excited to announce this first-ever opportunity to take home a piece (or two!) of horse racing history forever… FOR ONLY $50!

Obtained directly from the Ashford Stud Stables that housed these mighty steeds and beautifully mounted in a museum quality shadow box, both American Pharoah and Justify halters come with a letter of authenticity.

A little more about these collector’s items:

1. The unforgettable horse that ended a 36-year Triple Crown Drought, American Pharoah came through and showed the whole world what it means to be a champion. Becoming the first horse to win the grand slam of Thoroughbred Racing, American Pharoah won both the Triple Crown and the Breeders’ Cup Classic. His time was the second-fastest for a Triple Crown winner, and his closing quarter-mile time was faster than Secretariat’s.

2. This halter worn by the 13th and most recent American Triple Crown winner, Justify, is without doubt a coveted piece of Kentucky racing history. Justify is only the second horse in history to win the American Triple Crown with an undefeated record and has the distinction of being the only Triple Crown Winner who didn’t race as a 2 year old. Descended from Seattle Slew, Secretariat, Count Fleet, War Admiral, Omaha, and Gallant Fox, Justify’s bloodline leaves no room for doubting that he is a champion

These collector’s items will go the extra mile in impressing your guests so purchase yours TODAY before the clock runs out on this opportunity.

The selections will be streamed live on our Facebook page on Wednesday, September 30.
