About Jodie Vella-Gregory

Jodie Vella-Gregory grew up in Alberta, Canada with a passion for horses and competing in three-day eventing, often times on off-track Thoroughbreds. When an opportunity arose to spend a summer in Lexington, after finishing her degree at the University of Alberta, she jumped at the chance. What was meant to be a three-month working holiday, has now turned into her Bluegrass home. Once she decided the Thoroughbred world would be her new career path, Vella-Gregory made the most of opportunities at KESMARC, Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, and the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission. All those experiences, eventually lead to a three-year, unforgettable time at Santa Anita Park -- where she oversaw the VIP Hospitality, racing operations and was the Executive Liaison. In February of 2016 Jodie accepted a position at the Breeders’ Cup, where she continues to work full time. Working for the premiere racing “Championships,” allows her to continue combining her passion of horseracing with helping people find their way within this wonderful industry.
