The Indiana Horse Racing Commission has suspended trainer Marvin A. Johnson and has ruled him off the grounds of Horseshoe Indianapolis and all other jurisdictions under the control of the regulatory agency.
According to the rules of Indiana, the licensee — Johnson — may ask for a hearing and a reconsideration. If requested, in writing, the Stewards will then conduct a disciplinary hearing on the issues that were raised in the action.
According to the ruling, Johnson is accused of “…actions not in the best interests of racing and which compromise the integrity of operations at a racetrack.”
Under the ruling, the suspension is set to run through the end of 2022.
