(The finishing touches of the LTS’ Cigar Pavilion are being applied)

Editor’s Note:

It has been a long time coming, granted. But it is coming, thank goodness.

This Saturday, The Louisville Thoroughbred Society will be open and simulcasting some of the best Thoroughbred races in the world. To make matters better, some of the TVs and fun from this year’s NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament will be turned on and tuned in, as well.

The new, premier, high-profile and private membership club — which is dedicated to promoting the Thoroughbred industry and racing at an all-time high — will be hosting a number of events for Investors and Members this week.

On Friday, Members & Guests will be invited to a private “Reception” from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. to kick-start the weekend’s activities.

Although the club will be closed this Sunday, to help allow both staff and others get prepared for full operations the following week, the LTS will resume full operations and simulcasting on Wednesday, March 24.

Races from around the country — including Aqueduct, Gulfstream Park, the Fair Grounds, Oaklawn Park, Turfway Park and Santa Anita — will be televised on the club’s high-definition and state-of-the-art audio-video system.

Wagering will also be permitted throughout the facility. Twelve stand-alone betting devices are conveniently located throughout the spacious and beautifully restored facility for the convenience of both Members & Guests.

If you are interested in membership opportunities, give our friendly and courteous staff a call. They will be happy to schedule a tour for your visit and review.

Here’s a closer look of the final touches.
