Three winners on Friday, and we did score 5 Exactas that were rewarding. One of those exotics returned $40.50 for each $1 played.

Our lone “Key Play of the Day” was a winner, too.

So…we are hoping for some more cash money on Saturday.

Here’s our looks:

1st: 6-5-3/7-1…Alittlescliceof Pie (6) gets the nod in the ole’ lid-lifter. This 2YO daughter of Mastery drops out of a $50,000 MCL event at KEE to this one at the $15,000 tag. The initial start was over a sloppy track. Here’s hoping that the switch to the fast dirt and the drop will benefit this one. Social Engagement (5) is another dropper. Showed a little in the debut. Gets a top rider to take the assignment here. Chance. Moon Over Tuscany (3) flashed a bit of speed over the slop last time out. Maybe the surface will help this one, too. I bet the 6 across the board and then box the top 3 in the exacta.s

2nd: 5-2/6-3/1A-4-1…Rumble Strip Ron (5) is an Ohio-bred running against open company. What? But? This one won here against $40,000 claimers just two starts ago. Has speed. It travels. But? Ohio-bred? Sonnyisnotsofunny (2) drops into the claiming ranks for the first time and the barn wins with .25% of those kind. Won for fun back in the summer. I go here. I bet the 2 — take note — to win/place/show and then box the 5-2 in the exactas.  I will key the 2 over/under all the numbers listed in two smaller units.

3rd: 5-9/6-7-2-8-1A/1-4-3…Brazil Nut (5) drops to half the asking price here. Gets the world’s top rider to take the saddle job. Will be coming very late and will need racing room. Speighty Sense (9) has not run since the debut effort in June. Not good that day. Returns here as a first time gelding. Rider and trainer are a humming duo. I bet the 5-9 across the board and then box these two in the exactas. I will key the 5-9 over/under the 6-7-2-9-1A in two smaller units.

4th: 7/1/2-6-8/3-5-4…The first “Key Play of the Day” comes here with Money Mike (7). This 3YO son of Into Mischief ran a good one last time out at $75,000 and now drops to the $50,000 mark here. Should be a tough out with the speed factor. Looks ready to pop the cork. I bet the 7 to win/place/show. I box the 7-1 in the exactas. I will key the 7 over/under all the numbers listed in two smaller units.

5th: 6-4/1-3-5/2…Ain’t No Elmers (6) has been facing tough, tough, tough Stakes company for much of this year. Has done well and has the speed to be a tough catch here. She will be on the move early and often. Come catch me if you can. And…I don’t think they can. I bet the 6 to win/place/show and then box the 6-4 in the exactas. I will key the 6 over/under the numbers listed in two smaller units.

6th: 6-(14)-2-7/9-12-10-1/(16)4/1…This is a wide, wide, wide open affair. Spread out and get ready. I will give the edge to Cost a Fortune (6), who will be making the 2nd start here since shipping in from Maryland. Ran OK the last time out and the blinkers go back on here. That could help immensely. Drops into the MCL ranks, too. Barn wins with .13% of those kind. One to beat. Allocate (14) would be my first “Longshot Special of the Day” if the 2YO filly could draw in from the AE List. First timer looks ready for a top trainer.  I bet the 6 across the board and also use the 14 in that manner, too, if she gets in. I will box the top 3 numbers in the exactas. I will key the top 3 numbers over/under the 9-12 in two smaller units.

7th: 4-2-5/6-8/7/3-1…Opening Night (4) will make the first start of the career for the new barn operator, and he wins with .10% with the newcomers. This one ran well in Maryland last time out and held her own up at Saratoga before that. Should like this company and the work here on Nov. 7 was spot on. Spot. On. Gets one of the best riders in the NA, and should be ready. I bet the 4 to win/place/show and then box the top 3 numbers in the exactas. I will key the 4 over/under the 2-5-6-8-7 in two smaller units.

8th: 3-4/6-7-2/1-5…Sun Path (3) is getting the Lasix for the first time and will drop out of the G3 Honeybee Stakes to this allowance level. Has been on vacation since March, but the barn wins with .23% coming off this type of a layup and with .31% getting the anti-bleeder for the first time. Look out here. Look. Out. My next “Key Play of the Day.” How do I bet it? I bet the 3 to win/place and then box the 3-4 in the exactas. I will key the 3 over/under the 4-6-7-2 in two smaller units.

9th: 1/1A-3-5-7/2-4/8-9-6…My next “Key Play of the Day” comes here with the entry — Cool Quest (1) and Ready to Answer (1A). Both of these from the owners Jim and Susan Hill have a big time shot in this effort. The former won here just two starts back in a runaway. Flashed speed but tired in the last one. Cuts back to the 6 furlongs here. Threat. The latter ran a huge 2nd here on June 3. Will be coming late. Look out at the wire. I bet the entry to win/place/show and then key the 1-1A over/under the 3-5-7-2-4 in two smaller units.

10th: 3/7/1/2-4/5-8-6…My final “Key Play of the Day” is Matera (3). And, I like this one Big Time. The 4YO Tapit filly won the Groupie Doll just two starts ago and ran a much-better-than-looks 4th against Shedaresthedevil last time out. Talent here. I go strong. I bet the 3 to win/place/show. I box the 3-7 in one exacta. I box the 3-1 in another exacta. And, I key the 3 over — only — all the numbers listed.

11th: 2-7/3/9-5/1-6…Fabulous Fanny (2) gets back to the races as a beaten favorite and the barn wins with .25% of those. This 2YO filly gets the best rider in the land, and he is winning with .35% of the last 17 mounts for this trainer. This one nearly won last time out, too. Adds up for me. I bet the 2 to win/place/show and then box the 2-7 in one exactas. I will key the 2-7 over/under the 3-9-5 in two smaller units.

Good Luck & All the Best / Gene
