(Stats to be updated after Monday’s card is completed)

Here’s our looks for Tuesday’s events. Remember post time has been pushed back to 6:45 p.m. ET, to avoid much of the extreme heat.

st: 9-1-8/4-6/3-5/7-10…Indy Biz (9) gets the nod at the Horseshoe Indianapolis oval on Tuesday night — when the post time will start at 6:45 p.m. ET to avoid the heat extremes. This 4YO gelded son of Fed Biz is truly not built for the turf, off the pedigree alone. But the mare is by Exchange Rate and that should help, despite the fact that she has no turf winners in the first three to run. This gelding did run a very nice 2nd in the last race, which was last November. Will make the 2022 debut here for a trainer who wins with .19% off the bench. Sharp work on June 14. Returns as a beaten favorite, too, and the barn wins with .25% of those kind. Threat. Vortex Rising (1) is my first “Upset Special of the Day.” This one is trained by the talented Tim Glyshaw and is out of a Kitten’s Joy mare. She has thrown a turf winner from two starters and this one should cherish the move to the sod and the extra ground, too. Look for a lot more out of this one here. Socket (8) ran well last time out and should like the cut-back in distance. Moves to the sod for a trainer who wins with .50% in the first ask on the grass. Chance. I bet the 9-1 across the board and then box the top 3 in the exactas. I will key the top 3 numbers over/under the 4-6 in two smaller units.

nd: 4-2/6-1/5-3…Thirteen Stripes (4) gets the call in this roundup. This 4YO Constitution filly will get the meet’s top rider up and comes off a tough outing at Churchill Downs. Will face easier here and has a 1-1-1 mark in 4 previous tries over this surface. Barn wins with .19% in the 2nd start off a layoff. Ain’t She a Pistol (2) won the MCL last time out and will face winners for the first time here. Barn wins with .20% of the last 61 moving up in the class. Gets a top rider here and this one should fit the speedy type. Chance. I bet the 4 across the board and then box the 4-2 in the exactas. I will key the 4-2 over/under the 6-1-5-3 in two smaller units.

rd: 3/4-5/1-2-8/9-10/6-11…The first “Key Play of the Day” comes here with Morning Angel (3). This first time starter for the barn of Brad Cox has been training very well and gets the meet’s top jockey in the irons. Home-bred looks like she is geared up and ready to fire at first ask. Dam has a winner from one starter. I bet the 3 across the board and then key the 3 over/under the 4-5-1-2-8-9-10 in the exactas. More with the 4-5 than the rest.

th: 7-11/4/5-6/1-10-12-3/8…Gray Attempt (7) is the ML favorite and figures to be the PT fan’s choice, too. This one has raced 7 times on the turf and has 3 wins and 3 thirds. Gets the barn’s go-to rider to make the journey up from Louisville for this one and the work on June 14 was spot on. I’m all in here. City Drifter (11) has a win over the track last time out and now has a record of 4-2-0 in 8 starts at this speciality sprint distance. Has a nice stalking style and the rider has gone 2-2-1 in the first 7 mounts of the meet. Chance. I bet the 7 across the board and then box the 7-11 in the exactas. Sternly. Stern. Ly. I will key the 7-11 over/under the 4 in two smaller units.

th: 4/1-2-5-6/7/3…The next “Key Play of the Day” comes here with Ferryboat (4). This one is from the red-hot barn of Tom Amoss, who has won with nearly .40% of his 33 runners here this meet. Won another one on Monday. This one ran a very game 2nd at Churchill Downs last time out and now drops to half the asking price here. Looks tough. Very. Tough. I bet the 4 across the board and then key the 4 over/under the 1-2-5-6-7 in the exactas.

th: 4-5/7-6-3-2/1…Tripulante (4) nearly won here two starts back and then encountered some travel issues in the last try here on May 30. I can toss that one and rely on the previous strong performances a much better barometer on the talent level. Looks well spotted here and I like the rider switch, too. Trainer started to warm a bit here and has won with .21% in 97 starts this year. Pressure (5) drops in class for this one after two solid 4ths in a row. Gets the meet’s top rider up here and that could mean a big difference in the finishing touches. I will be both the 4-5 across the board and then box these two in the exactas. I will key the 4-5 over (only) the 7-6-3-2 in a smaller unit.

th: 5-7/6/4-2/3-1…For Mama (5) ran a very nice 2nd here on June 1 and the winner of that affair came right back to capture the next outing, too. This one now has a second and two thirds in 4 tries to begin the career. Time is now to break the MSW. Can he? Golden Rapper (7) has a shot in here for a solid QH trainer. This one ran well in the career debut here on June 1. Was 2nd in that one and had to steady early in the proceedings. Cleaner trip = win. I bet the 5-7 across the board and then box these two in the exactas. I will key the 5-7 over (only) the 6 in two smaller units.

th: 2-4-1/8-6/3-5-7…Go For Sherrie (2) has a tidy 2-1-1 mark in 6 previous runs here and nearly won the last one as the favorite. Moved up on a DQ to a 1st in that one. Means two wins in a row. Look for this one to turn up the nozzle early and often. Look out. Could be gone. Moment (4) could spice up the odds rack here, a bit. This one misfired last time out, but was moved up to 4th for some DQ action. Previous two? This guy was a winner. Could revert back to old habits. He Takes Charge (1) has a chance here, too. Has 4 wins and 2 seconds in 9 trips here. Trainer is having a very solid meet, winning at a .21% rate of return. I bet the 2 across the board and then box the top 3 in the exactas. I will key the top 3 numbers over/under the 8-6 in two smaller units.

th: 9-5/1-4-6-8/2-3-7/10…The night’s finale is a Quarter Horse event and I will give the edge to Furrst Hanka (9). This one won to break the maiden last time out here on June 4. Looked very good in doing so on the lead. Could parlay right back. Ajk Payyourtax (5) didn’t fire a lick last time out, but that was the first start of 2022 and has done better in the past. Could be running at the end. I bet the 9 across the board and then box the 9-5 in the exactas.  I will key the 9 over/under the 5-1-4-6-8-2 in two smaller units.
