Well, we handicapped 20 races on Saturday for your viewing pleasure. Out of that group, we managed 6 winners, 10 seconds and 10 thirds. Ugh.
We got the day off to a rousing start at Oaklawn Park, to be sure. Had 4 winners in the first 5 races and cashed exactas in the same number.
Unfortunately for us, we blanked on the next 7, although we did manage to cash 3 exactas on the way out the door.
At Turfway Park, we hit the first race and our top pick returned us money in 5 of the 8 races. Yet, we managed only 1 winner, and 2 seconds out of 5 “Key Plays of the Night.”
We end a rather dismal week on the handicapping front. Hope to do better this week, as we gear up for the opening of the premier, private membership Louisville Thoroughbred Society. And, I will be on hand this coming Saturday to offer some hints and tips for huge Louisiana Derby Day card at the Fair Grounds.
