We started off like it was going to be a beautiful day at Keeneland on Saturday. Well, it was a beautiful day at Keeneland on Saturday if we are talking about the weather and the race-day crazies. But we are talking handicapping in this segment and time.

It was the next 6 that posed all the issues and problems.

We went winless the rest of the way and a few runner-ups failed to make up the difference.

We will be back on Tuesday at Horseshoe Indianapolis. I’m just saying, but this track in Shelbyville, IN is the best kept secret in all of Thoroughbred racing. It’s conveniently located. It has superb amenities. The track surfaces are ideal. And, the brand of racing is A-quality.

I went up last week to just visit and check it out (I needed a little road trip to my favorite hiding place). I saw the best GM in all the game, Eric Halstrom, and toured the grounds. It was fun. Per usual.
