Sunday we celebrated my mother’s 90th birthday. We had one of those “Drive-By” Parties. My sis, always the mathematician, purchase 1,185 cup cakes. One half of them chocolate. One half vanilla. Delicious.
We have 1,000 left over, if the food pantry wants to come by and get a truck load.
And, that does not even count the 5 foot x 5 foot sheet case that we didn’t even cut. Bring two trucks.
And, that’s just about what we needed at Keeneland on Sunday, too.
Of the nine races, we had six winners. Our lone “Key Play of the Day” paid a handsome $13 for each $2 played across the board.
Of the nine races, we had eight exactas that returned the likes of $27.40, $17.50, $11.20, $11.00, $30.00, $14.30, $9.30, and $8.50. Of those eight exactas, we had four them “cold” — with our top two picks.
We nailed the last five races with our top pick. If you read out little “bet advice” at the end of each race? You didn’t have to go but one deep in each race. Returned over $600.
We may have started this meet a bit chilly, but we are on a steam roll now.
Can’t wait to get to that Breeders’ Cup now.
Have a great couple of days. See you on Wednesday.
Good Luck & All the Best / Gene
