Cash Per Trip cashes in on Circle City Handicap at Horseshoe Indianapolis

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (Wednesday, September 30, 2026) – It was a full day of premier racing action for Wednesday, September 30 on Hoosier Day at Horseshoe Indianapolis. The final premier event on the card was the 26th running of the Circle City with Cash Per Trip and Adam Beschizza taking home top honors in the six-furlong sprint.

Cash Per Trip and Beschizza, a native of England, began from post seven in the nine horse lineup. They were able to move out of the gate and get a spot in third early on as the lead changed hands three times starting with J’s Jersey Boy and Hannah Leahey before Skepticism and Yedsit Hazelwood moved up for a short lead. Kansascityjustice and Andres Ulloa moved up the inside to establish themselves as the third leader before the only turn of the race arrived.

Around the final turn, Cash Per Trip was primed and ready as he was traveling three wide to gain positioning for the stretch drive. Once the field turned for home, Cash Per Trip began battling with Kansascityjustice for the lead. The two freshman were both determined before Cash Per Trip got a head in front at the end to win in a photo over Kansascityjustice. Skepticism finished third.

Cash Per Trip paid $6.60 for the win. The homebred son of Modernist is owned by Tim Rosin and trained by Coty Rosin, who began as an assistant trainer for notable horsemen such as Jamie Ness, Tony Dutrow and Joe Sharp. The Wisconsin born horseman is now a Graded Stakes placed trainer focusing on his own stable since 2020.

“We had a really easy trip, and he (Cash Per Trip) made it that way,” said Beschizza. “He’s the kind of horse that is just finding his niche. This is a great job by Coty (Rosin). I thank him for leaving me on this colt. I was meant to ride him when he broke his maiden, but I went down the day before and had to miss the day of racing. Coty and I go way back. I’ve ridden for him and for the trainers he used to work for. He always had a balance and puts me on when he can.”

It was the third career start for the lightly raced Cash Per Trip, who has turned in all three starts at Horseshoe Indianapolis. He is now two for three as he boosts his career bankroll to more than $85,000 for his connections.

“He (Cash Per Trip) is all class, you can see that by looking at him,” added Beschizza. “He seems to have a very good mind too. He’s a state bred, but I think he can probably win against open company, too.”

The 24th season of live Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse extends through Friday, November 13. Indiana’s top Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses will be featured Saturday, October 24 during the seventh annual Indiana Champions Day.
