By Holly M. Smith:

Located in Toronto, Canada, Woodbine Racetrack should be a must visit on your list.  I’ve been fortunate to cover a few of their “big race days” in the past and after my first visit, it became one of my favorite tracks.

The backside is sprawling with many surface options for horses to exercise over. In normal times, racing goes from April to December, and many of the horses that winter in Florida and Louisiana travel North for the meet.

One of the best things to come from my Woodbine visits are the friends I have made, too! And no, I never met Gator Kitten, but I have met his momma and she is the “bestest,” as Gator would say.

Here’s a few of my favorite views and memories:

(The Canadian Color Guard await the arrival of the horses)

(Melmich returns to the winner’s circle)

(Tower of Texas sports an interesting pair of blinkers)

(Miss Sea wins at Woodbine, which is a must see)
