There are few things in life better than a Fall day at Churchill Downs. A brisk whisper to the air. A clean taste to the wind. The sounds of hooves clipping the dirt and grass. The cheers and screams of winners and, yes, some losers. The hot dog wrapper wrapped around a shoe, like it was clinging to dear life. And, the chestnuts battling the brave bays, with a dash of dapple grey to brighten the day, too.

On Saturday, our great friend — Holly M. Smith — was at Churchill Downs, too.
