Here’s our looks on this “Hump Day” special at the grand, ole’ racetrack Churchill Downs — the best venue in the entire free world. It is a special day, to be sure, because we will be celebrating the birthday, life & times of two of my most favorite people in the entire global society:

  1. Nick Nash — whom I like to call and International Man of Intrigue. He is a wonderful young person and an amazing human being. Love this kid to death. Happy birthday, young man.
  2. Michelle Lovell — whom I like to call my great friend and horse trainer deluxe. I don’t know of any person alive who cares for her horses more than this fine lady. She brings such a great joy and vibe with her to the track each and every day and her personality rubs off on all types of horses — including the ones that have done so very well for her throughout the youthful years.

Happy birthday to you two, who are some of my most special friends. Special.

On top of that, Michelle Lovell will be saddling our very own Bump in the Night (7) in the 6th race today. We are looking to get back to the races with this graceful gal and we are so delighted that she has rediscovered her zest for life, as well.
