$236,879 MANDATORY PAYOUT IN SINGLE 6 SATURDAY AT TURFWAY PARK

FLORENCE, Ky. (Friday, Dec. 26, 2025) – The 2025 Holiday Meet at Turfway Park Racing & Gaming will close Saturday with a 10-race card and mandatory payouts in all wagers including the 20-cent Single 6, which has a massive carryover of $236,879.

          Saturday’s Single 6 sequence gets underway in Race 5 at 7:55 p.m. (all times Eastern). The popular wager has a 20-cent minimum denomination with a low 15 percent takeout. The card also includes two Pick 5s beginning in Races 1 and 6 and three Pick 4s starting in Races 2, 4 and 7.

          Saturday’s Single 6 Sequence (with field size as of Friday at 2 p.m.):

  • Race 5 (7:55 p.m.): Mdn 120k, 3yo and up F&M, 6 ½ F (12 runners)
  • Race 6 (8:25 p.m.): Clm 30000n3L, 3yo and up F&M, 1 M (10 runners)
  • Race 7 (8:55 p.m.): OC 62500n1x, 2yo, 1 M (11 runners)
  • Race 8 (9:25 p.m.): $125,000 Last Hurrah, 3yo, 1 1/8 M (eight runners)
  • Race 9 (9:55 p.m.): Alw 5000s, 3yo and up, 6 F (12 runners)
  • Race 10 (10:25 p.m.): MC 50000, 2yo f, 6 F (12 runners)

Saturday’s program features the 1 1/8-mile Last Hurrah Stakes. The field of eight 3-year-olds is led by Jeff Ruby Steaks (Grade III) winner Final Gambit as the 8-5 morning line favorite.

          Following Saturday’s card, the Winter/Spring Meet will get underway Thursday, Jan. 1 and run through Saturday, March 28. Like the Holiday Meet, daily first post will be 5:55 p.m. except March 21 for Jeff Ruby Steaks Day, which gets underway at 12:45 p.m.

FINAL FLORENCE FURLONG – With one day of racing remaining at the Holiday Meet, jockey Walter Rodriguez held an insurmountable nine-win lead in the standings over Luan Machado 22-13. Adam Beschizza was in third with 10 wins. In the leading trainer race, Wesley Ward’s six wins topped the standings. There was a three-way tie for second between Eric Foster, Horacio De Paz and Joe Sharp, each with five wins. Godolphin was at the top of the owner standings with five wins.
