The Breeders’ Cup wrapped up on Saturday at Santa Anita. But Churchill Downs’ was the place where history was possible. Our great friend, Holly M. Smith, journeyed out to the big oval in Louisville to see if Bango could become the winningest horse in the history of the famed Twin Spires. It was not to be on this day. But, hopefully, other days are to come.
