Well, not going to lie about…

It took me going into complete hiding for three days to dig out from a wall of paperwork and a desk of old handicapping sheets to finally get caught up. After returning to the Lake vista after a few days in Michigan and a couple of days of watching this year’s Breeders’ Cup action on my mobile device, I dedicated this week to catching up.

If I never, ever make another promise to anyone — including myself — I will never get this far behind again.

But we are back.

Going into this Friday’s action at Churchill Downs, we have handicapped 1,519 races this year.

My win percentage is a bit disappointing, but still hovers over .31% for all those events.

I am happy that our top pick is hitting the board on nearly 61% of the time, and I am thrilled that our “Key Horses” are winning at nearly a 39% rate and are hitting the board nearly 74% of the time, as well.

Good stats. Proud of those stats.

I’ll do a year-end tabulation that will examine each meet a bit better, but for now, you can at least see the results and see if my next-up picks warrant and merit your consideration.
