Keeneland Championship Sale at Del Mar
to Offer Share in Breeders’ Cup Classic Contender Mindframe
LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 15, 2025) – Keeneland has announced that Claiborne Farm, agent, will consign a share in millionaire, Grade 1 winner and Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) contender Mindframe at the second edition of the Keeneland Championship Sale, to be held in the Del Mar Paddock on Wednesday, Oct. 29, two days before the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
Mindframe, a 4-year-old son of Constitution, is scheduled to enter stud at Claiborne in Paris, Kentucky, at the conclusion of his racing career.
“We are pleased to offer this special opportunity to participate in the stallion career of a truly outstanding prospect, Mindframe,” Claiborne President Walker Hancock said. “With significant early demand from breeders already requesting seasons, this share provides guaranteed access to a top-tier stallion prospect as he retires to stud following the Breeders’ Cup.”
Last year, Mindframe’s ability was apparent at 3 when he ran second in both the Belmont (G1) and the NYRA Bets Haskell (G1) after just two easy blowout wins by a combined 21¼ lengths. This year, he has been even more effective, kicking off the season with a victory in the Gulfstream Park Mile (G2) followed by a win in the Churchill Downs Stakes (G1) Presented by Ford on Derby Day.
Mindframe returned to Churchill to showcase his talent in the Stephen Foster (G1). In contrast to the colt’s first two races of the year, which were around one turn, the Stephen Foster was a route at 1 1/8 miles. Mindframe’s victory over defending Breeders’ Cup Classic winner, Sierra Leone, at the distance stamped him as a leading contender for the 1¼-mile Breeders’ Cup Classic.
“Mindframe has put together a near-perfect record this year, and with the Breeders’ Cup Classic as his next step, there’s plenty more excitement to come,” Keeneland Vice President of Sales Tony Lacy said. “For buyers, this share represents a rare opportunity to participate in the tremendous potential of his future stallion career.”
