From the Keeneland Media Team / Amy Owens:

Greg Foley (winning trainer of Trouble Calling)

“He’s always been nice from Day 1, training and that. We’ve always liked him. It took him two or three races. He was a little slow about figuring out things. He’s still a little green, (jockey) Luis (Saez) said today, wanting to lay on the horse (runner-up Oscar’s Hope) coming down the lane, but this is a really nice colt. In the Paddock, I couldn’t believe the price, 7-1; he ended up going off a little shorter than that (9-2). This is a really good horse.”

On the importance to owner/breeder Donamire Farm of Trouble Calling’s dam, Into Trouble:

“I wished I owned her. (Into Trouble is) three for three, with a Grade 1 winner (Troubleshooting, entered here in the Maker’s Mark Mile-G1 on April 10 and stakes winner Big Trouble) and now with another stakes winner. She’s three for three stakes horses, one Grade 1 winner and hopefully this horse (Trouble Calling) will get one. This is a good, good colt.”

Luis Saez (winning rider)

“I was a little worried (as the race developed early). He’s always been a horse that had a lot of speed, so we thought we were going to be right there pretty close, but the track was not playing the best for him. It was kind of a little deep, so he took a little while to get going, but when he saw (he was in) the clear at the three-eighths (pole), he started to get going and he finished really strong.”

Kinnon LaRose (trainer of runner-up Oscar’s Hope)

“He had a great trip and ran his heart out but was second-best today.”

Irad Ortiz Jr. (rider of Oscar’s Hope)

“Beautiful trip. I got a good position. On the break, I waited for my time to go. Down the lane my horse fired off, it was unlucky we didn’t hold it. He got everything right.”

Flavien Prat (rider of third-place finisher Carson Street)

“He showed a lot of speed. I was doing a bit too much in the front end. I thought from there he ran a good race. With the way he went, he could have thrown in the towel but he didn’t. It was a good run.”
