Editor’s Note:

We are so lucky. So darn fortunate. So blessed. So, so blessed.

When we began this enterprise and began posting news, notes, photos and other interesting things that are all things Thoroughbreds, I was introduced to this remarkable young lady by the name of Holly M. Smith. Turns out to be that this remarkable young lady also is a remarkable young photographer. And, turned out, too, that this remarkable young lady is a remarkably reliable and trustworthy friend — who always makes times and plans to be at Churchill Downs whenever she can, especially during Kentucky Derby times.

On Saturday and Sunday, Holly found her way to the backside of the most remarkable horse track in the free world.

And, she found her way to taking a few photos of some of the most remarkable young horses, as well.

Remarkable has a way of begetting remarkable.
