Editor’s Note:

This week, my good friend and superb public handicapper — Dennis Trusty — and I will square off to see how many wins we can pick at Churchill Downs. The contest will start on Wednesday, when Churchill Downs begins its’ work week and live racing schedule. We will conclude with Sunday’s racing. If you want, and we are up to it, we may throw in Belmont Stakes Day card at Saratoga, as well. Got to run that by Dennis to see if he would like to include that in the mix, as well.

We will see how many wins we can tally over the next 5 days.

And, of course, the winner will get a little bragging rights and the ability to crow just a bit.

If Dennis wins “The Challenge,” he will get paid $100 from me. Cash on hand.

If I win “The Challenge,” I will donate $100 to the Churchill Downs’ Backside Learning Center.

Seems like a good cause for a good cause.
