In the first race today, we will — hopefully — get our first “Donation Play of the Day” across the finish line in first. Of the first 7 this meet, we have not hit the wire first yet. But we haven’t been off the board yet, either. And, we have had 3 horses scratched.
Today is the day.
Maybe. May Day.
So far in the career, Pink Picture has raced 13 times and is still looking for the maiden victory. Not a great sign. But this one has hit the board 9 times out of those races and certainly has the profile in this Indiana-bred only race, with a top rider in the irons. The barn also wins with a ridiculously high .38% when dropping from the MSW ranks into the MCL files for the first time.
I’m hoping a winner.
And, I’m hoping we can kick start a serious run of good luck to help the Homeless Veterans of Indianapolis, when this meet is over.
Why don’t you join with Horseshoe Indy’s VP for Racing and General Manager, Eric Halstrom, and me in these efforts. It is rewarding. I promise you.
Good Luck & All the Best / Gene
