It will be a little on the muddy side at “The Shoe” today. After all, the area received about 5 inches of rain over the past 24 hours. Now, that’s a groundswell of water swelling. And, as of result:

No turf racing.

No dry dirt racing.

But lots of racing, still the same.

And, some good racing, at that, to fire at today, as well, with carryovers in both the late Pick 5 and the late Pick 4. The carryover, alone, for the late Pick 5 is $77,000. The carryover, alone, for the Late Pick 4 is $76,000.

Relentless Chick (8) in the 7th race looks much the best to me. Has a win in only previous start over an “off track.” Has the highest speed rating in the last race, which she won. The rider wins .30% of the last 60 mounts for this barn and in the last two weeks they have teamed up for 16 races. In those events, they have a record of 4-2-3. All in.
