We finished up the “work week” on Sunday with a rather fruitful and bountiful harvest at Churchill Downs. Thanks be.

We had 5 winners on the 10-race card and our top selection ran second on three other occasions and once finished 3rd. Our only miss “on the board” came with a 4th.

We also cashed exacta tickets that rendered $11.80, $9.80, $13.10, $47.40, $4.20, $4.40, $64.60 and $16.10 for each $1 played. Hope you played more than the simple buck.

We will take today off from the handicapping chores, but we have already studied up on the card at Indiana Grand for Tuesday. We journey up to the Hoosier State to catch another glimpse of our 2YO filly Diamond Solitaire — who will try to challenge Hungarian Princess and a full field in the Miss Indiana Stakes.

We are hoping that the first try at two turns may equal the playing field just a bit. We have been waiting for this opportunity. I can only hope that we are up to the challenge. I think we are. Diamond Solitaire thinks we are, too.
