CHURCHILL DOWNS FALL MEET SPECIAL EVENTS

 As the leaves change colors and the air becomes crisp, Churchill Downs is gearing up for a thrilling autumn with unforgettable events on the horizon: Trick or Treat at the Track on Oct. 29; Breeders’ Cup Watch Party on Nov. 3-4; Military Appreciation Day on Nov. 11; Thanksgiving on Nov. 23; and Closing Weekend from Nov. 24-26.

Trick-or-Treat at the Track at Family Adventure Day – Oct. 29 

Churchill Downs invites all little ghouls and goblins for trick-or-treating at the track at Family Adventure Day. This is the perfect event for the entire family to enjoy Halloween under the Twin Spires.

Highlights for Family Adventure Day include 10 trick-or-treat boo stations located throughout the track; pumpkin bowling and a pumpkin patch; face painting; inflatables; a bubble station; music; an arts and crafts station; and DonutNV, where guests can craft custom mini donuts by selecting their favorite glaze and toppings.

 Breeders’ Cup Watch Party – Nov. 3-4

Horse racing fans, get ready to cheer on your favorite Breeders’ Cup contenders, and join us for the Breeders’ Cup Watch Party on Nov. 3-4. Enjoy both thrilling live races at Churchill Downs and great company as we watch the finest equine athletes compete.

First Responders Day – Nov. 5

In honor of First Responders Day, attendees showing a valid I.D. will receive FREE general admission or discounted dining tickets while supplies last.

Military Appreciation Day – Nov. 11

Churchill Downs proudly celebrates and honors America’s service men and women for their unwavering patriotism, profound love for this country, and their selfless dedication to serve and sacrifice for the greater good.

Highlights for Military Appreciation Day include complimentary general admission with a valid military I.D. or four discounted dining tickets (while supplies last) for veterans and active military; a National Anthem performance; military personnel recognition; and patriotic-themed songs performed by bugler Steve Buttleman.

Thanksgiving at the Track – Nov. 23

Thanksgiving marks a day of gratitude and celebration at Churchill Downs. Join us for a special Thanksgiving Day at the Track, filled with thrilling races, delicious food, and the warmth of community. It’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.

Closing Weekend – Nov. 24-26

As the Fall Meet draws to a close, don’t miss our exhilarating Closing Weekend from Nov. 24-26. Enjoy two big stakes races each day, including the Clark presented by Norton Healthcare on Nov. 24 and Stars of Tomorrow II on Nov. 25. Saturday, Nov. 25 will also feature a 2024 Calendar Giveaway where 5,000 fans will receive a complimentary 2024 Churchill Downs calendar sponsored by Humana.
