Editor’s Note:
Next Tuesday, Horseshoe Indianapolis will resume live racing for one of the longest and most appealing race meets in the entire US of A. Racing will be limited to two days per week until the weather warms a bit more and the grass course is ready for hooves and action, but racing is back.
There are new wagers. Like a Late Double — to be called “The Last Call Double.” It is a $5 minimum wager with a handicapper-friendly takeout of a meager 15%.
There are new facilities on both the front side and the backside of the track.
Favorite riders — like Marcelino Pedroza, Jr., Joe Ramos and Rodney Prescott — will return.
Top trainers — like Randy Klopp, Genaro Garcia — and top barns for the likes of Hall of Fame Steve Asmussen and world-class Brad Cox will also be on hand.
And, there will, undoubtedly be, some top horses back in action, too.
Today, Eric and I discuss the upcoming meet — which will run all the way to November.
Take a listen…
