(Sally’s Curlin prancing at Churchill Downs / Photos by Holly M. Smith)

Editor’s Note:

The horses were out and about at Churchill Downs this morning. Some prancing. Some dancing. Some galloping. Some jogging.

And, some working, too.

The Breeders’ Cup is now just a week away from beginning. And, the final preparations are now in intense mode.

Here’s a look at a few of them tuning up, through the eyes and lens of our very own Holly M. Smith:

(Crazy Beautiful is just that)

(Casa Creed)

(Camp Hope)

(Harvey’s Lil Goil is coming off a huge win over the Keeneland grass course)

(Knicks Go is all ready to go)

(The Classic’s favorite? Tom’s d’Etat just may be)

(King Fury is on top of his game right now, too)
