G3 Honeybee Winner Lemon Muffin: Through the Eyes & Lens of Holly M. Smith

Editor’s Note:

Just when you least expect it, you get a great Saturday surprise and it brightens your day, and, you hope the days of our viewers, and readers, too. After watching the festivities at Oaklawn Park on Saturday — and attempting to dissect some of the best, potential runners for this year’s G1 Kentucky Oaks and the 150th Kentucky Derby — I received an email from my great friend and ally, Holly M. Smith.

Just so happens that she had some great photos in her “bank” of albums at home, and she shared some of her best “looks” at one of winners on Saturday:

Here are a few shots of Lemon Muffin — who captured the G3 Honeybee Stakes. The 3-year-old filly nearly clinched her spot in this year’s Oaks, as long as she stays healthy and happy on the final roads.
