Editor’s Note:
There are a few people that come along and bump into you along life’s journey that make you stop, on a dime, and make you take both note and notice. Not for what they say, mind you. Not for what they do, either. Not for any life-changing reason other than they are put on this earth just to change your life. Some how. Some way. They just have an impact.
Such is one of the amazing talents of Holly M. Smith, a phenomenal photographer who shares a love of the horse along with a passion to foster and save little puppies and kittens who are destined for fates that are not pleasant to think about or even consider.
Such is the person that is Holly M. Smith, who carves a notch into your heart every time she shares a memory or a photo of one of God’s creatures — both great and small.

Smith, who some how, some way finds both the time and the desire to capture the best of life; bottle it into a photo worth framing and remembering; and share it with the rest of us, who are always looking for the right “look” to turn a doldrum day into something special.
Here are a few looks from Holly M. Smith, who recently took her camera and her talent to the backside of the track and took the time to reveal what makes our sport so very special. It is, of course, the horse. And, of course, the ones who love them…
