Editor’s Note:

On Sunday, it was a bit cloudy and a the rain leaked through the sky like sweat through a tee shirt. But it was all bright sunshine and puppies for the camp of Kentucky Derby hopeful Epicenter.

The 3YO son of Not This Time was right on time for his last major workout before this Saturday’s 148th running of the Kentucky Derby. Working on the inside of his mate and companion, Epicenter looked and acted exactly like the Kentucky Derby favorite is supposed to:

Calm.

Posed.

Fit.

Picturesque.

Picture Perfect.

By all accounts, all concerned — including trainer Steve Asmussen and the casual on-lookers, alike — were thrilled.
