It is never a surprise when — or where, for that matter — Holly M. Smith shows up to see and capture a horse in need of being photographed. Or, for that matter, two.

Tell her where they are. She will be there. With camera in tow.

Recently, she went up to Lexington to capture some action at Keeneland and a few surrounding farms. After all, Churchill Downs is shut down right now for training, while construction crews recreate a new turf course at the big oval in town. And, after all, Holly M. Smith needed a horse “fix.”

And, on the road again, she was.
