Here’s our looks for the Friday kick-start to another wonderful weekend in the Bluegrass and the final two days of live racing at the wonderland we call Keene-Land.

It is also the long-awaited return of our 2YO boy — Courageous Clay. He has raced three times so far and has two seconds and a third.

We are hoping that this will be the day we win our first race ever at a track that is approximately 15 minutes from my hometown of Midway and a track I grew up loving.

We are also hoping for a victory for the 4YO boy Clay Goodwin, for whom our horse is named. Clay was supposed to get out of the hospital for one of the few times in his little life this week and the plans were to bring him to see his partner — Clay, the horse. But insurance companies — who think they run the free world — decided not to approve one of boy’s most important medications and he will not be able to come and watch with the rest of the family. Insurance companies…don’t get me started.

But, nevertheless, we are hoping for the best for Clay — the little boy — and Clay — the big horse. We are hoping we can run like the wind so that the little boy can one day run, too.

Here’s hoping.

Here’s praying.

And, here’s our looks for the card on Friday:
