The backside of Churchill Downs is closed for the winter. Horses have been relocated. People have gone with the horses. The sounds of everyday training are gone with the wind, so to speak.

But the snow and ice that breezed through Kentucky over the weekend has definitely left an impression.

Here’s a few views of the aftermath and the dense white blanket that has wrapped its’ arms around the historic racing institution.
