TART SCORES 9-1 UPSET IN $125,000 WISHING WELL STAKES

FLORENCE, Ky. (Friday, Feb. 6, 2026)Judy Holland and Mullholland SpringsMs. Tart made a bold move around the far turn, then kicked clear for an impressive 2 ¾-length victory in Friday’s 33rd running of the $125,000 Wishing Well Stakes at Turfway Park Racing & Gaming.

          The Wishing Well Stakes was Ms. Tart’s eighth-career victory from 23 starts. Trained by John Ennis and ridden by Edgar Morales, Ms. Tart completed 6 ½ furlongs in 1:18.04.

          It was a scramble for the early lead in the Wishing Well Stakes with 7-5 favorite Kehoe Beach being sent to the front while being pressured to her outside by Fancy Caber Neigh. The duo completed a quarter-mile in :22.52 while Ms. Tart was biding her time in fourth. Around the far turn, Ms. Tart began to engage the pacesetters while going three-wide and quickly took command on the field, opening up 2 ½ lengths by the top of the stretch.

          Zadorsky closed late to complete the exacta. She was followed by Sea Runner, Moon Mystique, Lithe Spirit, My Lil Punky, Dala, Baby No Worries, Fancy Caber Neigh and Kehoe Beach.

          With her victory in the Wishing Well Stakes, Ms. Tart earned her connections $73,900 to improve her overall earnings to $462,056.

          Ms. Tart is a 5-year-old daughter of Maximus Mischief out of the Lemon Drop Kid mare Sheza Sweet Lemon. She was bred in Kentucky by Sovereign Farm.
