LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Monday, Jan 19, 2026) – With the Kentucky Derby still 15 weeks away, the pari-mutuel field of “All Other 3 Year Olds” closed as the 7-2 favorite in Pool 3 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager (KDFW) and unbeaten Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (Grade I) winner Ted Noffey, from the barn of two-time Derby winner Todd Pletcher, was the 6-1 second choice.

          Other horses who attracted mild interest from bettors included the Chad Brown-trained Remsen (GII) winner Paladin (14-1) and recent Gulfstream debut winner Chief Wallabee (17-1) trained by two-time Kentucky Derby winner Bill Mott.

Total handle for the Jan. 16-18 KDFW pool – the third of six scheduled wagering pools in advance of the 152nd running of the $5 million Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (GI) on Saturday, May 2 – was $355,060 ($272,202 in the Win pool and $82,858 in Exactas), an 8.2% gain from last year’s $328,150 ($254,139 in the Win pool and $74,011 in Exactas).

A total of $856,987 has been bet on Derby future wagers thus far compared to $841,165 at this stage last year – a 1.9% increase.

Inaugurated in 1999, the Kentucky Derby Future Wager has been offered for a 28th consecutive year.

Other Future Wager dates are set for Feb. 13-15 (Pool 4); March 13-15 (Pool 5) and April 2-4 (Pool 6). Pool 5 will include the Longines Kentucky Oaks Future Wager.
