We are back looking at the daily workout schedule from around the country. Every day (Some days?), we scour the work tabs at racetracks all over the country.  We are looking for workouts that may be of interest and helpful to you — as both race fans and handicappers.  Some of the horses we will be tracking, you will know.  Some of them, you may not know — as of yet.

We are back…Take a look:

  1. Green Light Go, a 5YO son of Hard Spun and trained by Jimmy Jerkens, has already won a couple of races to begin the 2022 campaign and is coming off a victory in the Stymie Stakes at Aqueduct on Feb. 26. Worked at Belmont Park this morning. Went 3 furlongs over the dirt training track in :36.56. That was the 6th best time out of the 46 to clock the distance. Over 13 starts now, this one has amassed a record sheet of 5-3-1 and has total earnings over $527,000. Stay tuned.
  2. November Rein, a 3YO daughter of Street Boss and trained by Kelly Breen, is a fine NY-bred. She has won 2 of 4 starts — including the Seeking the Ante Stakes at Saratoga last August. Has not started since last September, and got her 2nd work back off the layup this morning at Belmont Park. Went 3 furlongs is a sparkling :35.40. That was the bullet move out of the 46. Still has some morning work to do, but keep this one in mind.
  3. Early Voting, an undefeated son of Gun Runner and trained by Chad Brown, leaped into the running for this year’s Triple Crown series with a front-running and dominating win in the G3 Withers Stakes at Aqueduct in his last start on Feb. 5. Got his 4th published work since that win this morning at Belmont Park. Went 4 furlongs in an impressive :47.88. That was 18th best of 255 to cover that distance over the dirt training track. Take note. This guy has a motor, and knows how to use it. Will pop again soon.
  4. Mischief Mogul, a 3YO gelded son of Into Mischief and trained by Todd Pletcher, is on the comeback trail and one to watch for you in the future. “Horse to Watch” alert. This one ran 3rd on debut last July. Has not been on the track in the afternoon since. But was third behind Shipsational in that MSW event, and the latter will run in the Tampa Bay Derby on Saturday. “Mogul” got his 7th published work sine Jan. 31 this morning in New York. Went 4 furlongs in a pedestrian time of :50.24. That was 177th of 255. But he looks about ready for are time.
  5. Mr. Wireless, winner of both the G3 Indiana and West Virginia Derbies last year for trainer W. Bret Calhoun, worked this morning at the Fair Grounds in New Orleans. He went 4 furlongs in :50.40, which was his first work since running 5th in the G3 Oklahoma Derby last September. Has a ways to go to get back in racing shape, but stay tuned here. Son of Dialed In has already won over $682,000.
  6. Hidden Connection, a 3YO daughter of Connect and highly-touted coming into this year’s racing action, worked this morning in New Orlenas, as well, for Calhoun. In her 2022 debut, she was 4th in the G2 Rachel Alexandra Stakes here on Feb. 19. Was beaten less than 4 lengths by Tunerloose that day. This gal has speed and tons of it. How far does she want to go? Still TBD. But talent is here.
  7. Caddo River, a 4YO son of Hard Spun and a Graded Stakes winner for trainer Brad Cox, is looking to rebound off two disappointing runs to begin the 2022 year. Was 3rd in an allowance here last time out on Feb. 19. Last win came in the Smarty Jones Stakes last April. Was 2nd to Super Stock in the 2021 G1 Arkansas Derby. Went a half-mile in :48.80 this morning. That was the 29th best time out of 112 to go the distance. More in the tank? We shall see.
  8. Yuugiri, a 3YO daughter of Shakleford and trained by Rodolphe Brisset, is coming off a solid 3rd in the G3 Honeybee Stakes in the 2022 debut. Was no threat to Secret Oath that day, but this one did run 2nd to Dream Lith in the G2 Golden Rod at Churchill Downs last November. Worked a maintenance half-mile this morning in :48.20. That was the 7th best time out of 112. KY Oaks bound?
  9. Slipstream, a 3YO son of More Than Ready and 6th-place finisher in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf last November, worked at Payson Park this morning for trainer Christophe Clement. Went 5 furlongs in 1:01.80. That was the bullet move out of the 10 that worked over the turf course. Should be closing in on the 2022 debut soon. This guy won the G3 Futurity Stakes at Belmont Park last October. Talent.
  10. Gilded Age, a 3YO son of Medaglia d’Oro and trained by Bill Mott, is coming off a 3rd place finish to Early Voting in the G3 Withers Stakes at Aqueduct. Worked this a.m. at Payson Park, too. Went 5 furlongs over the dirt track in 1:02.40. That was the bullet move out of 2 to go that distance. Can he improve? Needs to.
