We are back looking at the daily workout schedule from around the country. Every day (Some days?), we scour the work tabs at racetracks all over the country.  We are looking for workouts that may be of interest and helpful to you — as both race fans and handicappers.  Some of the horses we will be tracking, you will know.  Some of them, you may not know — as of yet.

We are back…Take a look:

  1. Kalypso, a 4YO filly by Brody’s Cause and trained by the embattled Bob Baffert had a work this morning at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, AR. The multiple Graded Stakes winner went 5 furlongs in an easy :51.60. That was the 17th best time out of 18 to go the distance. Last time out, this lady was 3rd in the G2 Santa Monica Stakes at Santa Anita. Before that outing, she won the G1 La Brea Stakes at “The Great Race Place” in December. Still able to crank it up with the good ones. In Arkansas. Interesting.
  2. Stellar Tap, a 3YO son of Tapit and trained by HOFer Steve Asmussen, worked this morning at Oaklawn Park. This guy — who was 9th in the G2 Rebel Stakes last time out — went 4 furlongs in :50.80 over the main dirt track. That was the 13th best time out of 18. This one has only broken the MSW, although did that in first career start at Saratoga. Not close since. Next?
  3. Tap the Faith, a 3YO daughter of Tapit and trained by Christophe Clement, worked at Payson Park in South Florida this morning. This gal — who sold to agent Clairborne Farm for a whopping $1.25 million at the 2020 KEE September Yearling Sale — went 4 furlongs in :48.40. That was the bullet move out of 7 to clock the distance today. This bay filly — who now races for Manzanita Stables — won the career debut at Belmont Park last November before running 5th to Nest in the G2 Demoiselle Stakes in early December. Has been off since then, but got here 4 published work today since being returned to serious training on Feb. 16. Look for more out of this high-priced filly.
