Had a little accident on Saturday. Not serious. But not feeling 100% today. So, not as much detail to the picks. Sorry.

1st: 5-3-4-2-1…Elitch (5) won his last out and moves up a notch in class today, and will be facing some more experienced guys. Still, gets the pick with a positive rider switch. USS Altair (3) drops in class and picks up the meet’s top rider. Faced real force in his first out this year. Finds softer here. Silverdollardreams (4) goes for a top barn. I bet the 5 to win/place and then box the 5-3-4 and the 5-3-2 in exactas.

2nd: 8-4-7-1…Restless Rambler (8) is Even Money in the ML and should be. Moves back here from a start at Arlington and gets a huge rider improve. Should air from start to finish. Proven Warrior (4) goes for a good barn, who has yet to get their due. Will stalk the leader and try him one more time. Dream Seeker (7) may have gotten my attention more if not for the rider, who has but two wins in 91 mounts this meet. I bet the 8 to win/place and then wheel over/under the “all button.” I play one solid exacta box 8-4.

3rd: 2-3-4-8…Double First (2) gets my pick here, with a sincere drop in class. Has great connections. Gurlin (3) has run two seconds in four starts here, and may improve today. Harlan’s Rose (4) could be a good claim at this level. Miss Mamacita is consistent, but likes to hang late. I bet the 2 to win/place and key over/under all the numbers.

4th: 4-3-9-6…Fault (4) is a filly I’ve been watching all spring. Love the breeding and she is getting better. Like her here. Prado Vision (3) goes for the barn of Dale Romans, who has caught fire at this meeting. With a clean trip, could be right there. I really like Blame the Law (9), too. Ran just 8 days ago in the Regret Stakes, where she was overmatched. Mike Maker wheel her right back and, for that reason, she gets my “dot” (must use) here. I bet the 4 & 9 across the board and then wheel both of them on top/bottom of the “all button.” I box those two, in the exactas, as well.

5th: 4-2-7-8-5-3-6…Wide open race. Throw a dart. If I must, I land on Abbaa (4) as top pick. I bet the 4 across the board and then modest key over/under all the numbers.

6th: 2-4-8-5-6-9…Like the top three numbers here much better than the rest. Blake’s Lucky Star (2) was no match for his stablemate in the debut, but that horse may be the real deal. I go right back with the Roman’s horse here. Likeitlikethat (4) is getting better, but needs a clean trip. Can Stone Mountain (8) ever finish a race? I bet the 2 to win/place/show and then key over/under all the numbers.

7th: 5-8-4-6-7…Friend of Liberty (5) gets class relief and should fit in nicely here. Sister Kan (8) comes off a huge win and picks up top rider in return. Charity Stripe didn’t run a step in last non-effort, but appears to be better than that. Gets glasses today and that may help. I bet the 5 to win/place and key over/under the rest.

8th: 9-5-7-4-2-8-11…The top two are my favs in here. Dawn Raider (9) could be the next good one for Buff Bradley. Getting better with each start. Good spot today for a second win. Love Durango Dan (5), who had an awfully wide trip in last. I bet the 9-5 in solid exacta box and then key both of them over/under the rest of the numbers, in case of a split. I bet the 9 to win/place.

9th: 2-6-7-1-3-5…Watch Me Whip (2) got an awful trip in the Sir Barton, in his first race after a maiden win. Romans, obviously, likes this one. I go right back with the return to a normal condition. Awesome Saturday (6) appears to be the heavy favorite, and off his runs against real good ones – he should be. I box the top two and then wheel both of them over/under the rest. Take a shot at a price with a win/place/show ticket on the 2.

10th: 6-7-9-2-4…Souper Fly Over (6) gets my money in this one. Ran a huge one against two nice horses in the last. Should find the winner’s circle in a competitive field. Zipp On By (7) is well bred and should benefit greatly from his last and for a barn that doesn’t crank them up for debuts. I take a real longshot in third spot here, Behavioral Bias (9), for trainer Al Stall. This one is 20-1 ML, but is a first time gelding. Look out. I bet the 6 to win/place and then key over and under the rest. Take a little action on the 9 across the board.

Good luck &

All the Best/Gene
